someone suggested foam, but I wasnt feeling that
if you go to a J/Y look at some of the 3g's in the yard, there is a rubber gasket that goes around the center brake light
? Never seen one there, maybe honda stealership? do you think it would work with subwoofers?
I have one on mine and no rattle
Anybody know any cheep alternative for dynomat?
i used some stuff called b-quiet. i think 87roach used the same stuff. its exactly like dynamat but a lot cheaper.
edit: http://www.b-quiet.com/extreme.html
thats the stuff i used
what i did is took off the light and pushed it back a bit so it does not rub on the window...i think only 86-87 accord had the gasket pico is talking about

B18c1 swap since 7/2011
175whp and 132tq
Redzone tuned
still havent seen a gasket for a rear light
Ill look the next time I go to the yard. Ill pocket as many as I can find and disperce as I can. Ill also try to verify the 86-87 thing. Thanks messy
if you could kwik, check the sedans compared to the sedan, I havnt seen any gaskets on 86-87 accords, doesnt meen there not out there just havnt seen them, the accord center light is pretty dumb if it came without a gasket, I just took mine off but it looks like crap
8687 have a rubber molded in trim... at least mine did... 88-89 doesn't have any tho...
and yes 86-87 fits 88-89 no problems

i just swapped mine to a high mount one, got it off of the window completely
Shoot, I wish I would have seen this earlier.
I use Peel and Seal when I'm not considering weight. It's $14 a roll at Home Depot and 1 roll will cover the floor at least once.
Bass like Base... Not fish.
i would just completely get rid the brake light and re carpet the back deck !

I did on my sedan, but some people think they'll get a ticket.

after 1986 the need for the 3rd brake light in the center position was madated by the safty control board of some sort. Ive gotten that ticket and lost that in court. Went from a fix it ticket to a major infraction. Had I just went home and replaced the light I would have saved a ton of time and money. Oh well. It was a custom and a cunt of a sherriff
jesus, I'm suprised I havent got a ticket yet, got a ticket for no front plate in lynnwood, I was pulled over for "speeding"
I looked up 1987 LXi, and it shows a gasket. http://bkhondaparts.com/billkay/jsp/...itch=&hidIrno=
everyone gets pulled over in lynnwood. I lived there for 5 years and moved beacuse I was single handedly biulding the new city hall in fees fines and tickets. They are the most ticketed town in the state pre capita. I got red light cam tickets from there and even got a faliure to yield off a camera. They are a total joke. As much money as they make from the cops and the town is still a huge shithole. Its in my most hated places towns that should be noked list. #2 right after everett. Major shitholes.
I got more tickets in mill creek from the same dyke sherriff. Most were fix it tickets and I even brought her up on charges for harrassment. I didnt do any good but i bet I got pulled over 4 of 7 days a week by her. Different things each time. I had a lowered S10 extremem blazer with all the bells at the time. Frame dragger, bagged, strobes on every light you can imagine. i had the envoy front end with led switchable bulb colors. Id have to go change something that night to prove I fixed it. they would waive the ticket and Id go home and put it right back on. I miss those days. More money then brains and more time then jesus
I think I found a solution to my problem, car door trim gaurd
its going to me either this or putting two additional screws where my center light mounts
why honda made the center light the way they did is beyond me, why did they not anticipate me putting two 12's in a japanese family car
that trim guard doesnt like to bend tight corners. youll find itll slip off when the adhesive gets hot in the back window. Its a good idea but try the thinnest, lightest stuff you can find. Hopefully your luck is better then mine.
