i pulled the loom out of this car and cut it up for the CRX, i bought a eg4 vti vtec loom to replace it with for $80. Im hoping i wont have too many issues connecting it up.
I moved this car into another shed today where it will sit for ages until i have the parts to build it. i bought a Type R LSD for it but it wont fit my Y21 or y59 or S4C gearboxes i have. SOoo i sold one of my b series boxes and im buying a Y80 gearbox ring gear and countershaft, with these i can bolt the ITR Helical LSD into my y21 B16A2 EG6/9 SiR Gearbox

they are the same internally, But the PCD of the diff and its ring gear are different on b18c motors which is why i need. i cant bolt the y21 b16a2 diff to the type r LSD, the ring-gear doesnt even fit over it
i dunno how hydro viscous LSD's fit into earlier cable boxes as they have like 15 bolts and you cant swap the ring gears at all to match say a a20a gearbox

Mate bought a ITR box to put into a YS1 cable casing for his B18C Type R Powered Gen 1 CRX.
Ill be installing the box into my civic to test it to make sure its in good condition before i swap the internals over. so its time to get the car to work.
The first thing ill be doing is the wiring loom, i cut up the civics wiring loom for to use in the civic so now i have to pretty much swap a new loom into this car. i bought one from a EG4 VTI so it has wires for VTEC etc etc
ys1 and jdm ITR have the same gears besides the final and LSD

just bought some B20B ARP rod bolts $100NZD shipped. yay
big change of plans here. this car is going to be my gfs daily driver now. Im keeping the B18B motor in it and converting it to automatic for her to carry the baby around in when im at work. The car will have EVERYTHING removed so it will be on stock shocks and springs and probably steel 13" wheels again.
This has been sitting in the shed for the last 6 or so months so i moved it today and stuck the stock front shocks in.
Have a DC2 parts car to get the auto parts out of on the way so more pics next time.
Im still building the B20VTEC but it is going in something else................................

haha its automatic now!!
all i need to do to make it driveable is weld the gearbox frame rail mount on and find some auto box solenoids so the gearbox will actually change gear!
right swapped the gearbox again today with an auto that actually works.
Next step: WOF safety check.. sometime

Wow dude you are a get ur done man. Great thread I just read 12 pages. Did you get the wof? I'd imagine so. I said in the other post my sons is an ej it is most likely an eg a 2 door coupe with a d16 automatic.
