Re: I has a civic - update thread

good news guys, my mate justin got in a dark green EG civic that had the right hand side fender/bumper/bonnet stoved in. So im buying the manual engine chassis mount, left fender and right front door glass from it for $80! and probably anything else i need off it aswell (fuck all)

I really need to do some work on this car, like put the interior back together as its still all over the place. Then ill update with some pics.

So....an Accord wheel goes right on an EG spline with no issues???

I will have to do this then. 3G wheel is my favorite wheel from a USDM Honda, other than a EP3 red stitch with a S2K airbag hybrid, which I plan for the Lude.

I believe Accord wheels are closer to the switch vs EG being closer to the driver and will probably being too close with the switch

might have to do some improvising there then. its just the civic came with a rice wheel that my mate took so it doesnt have one, but thats okay if i have to find a non airbag stock EG one its all good, actually the parts car at my wrecker mates yard has one i may scam it if the leather wrapped accord one fails.

Re: I has a civic - update thread

have not updated this for a while, since the last post i bought a b series box from pick a part for $103NZ, cut the front off another civic to weld onto mine for $30. Today i have installed the new box into the car so its all bolted up, i did get pics ill post them later as i am on dial up still. i bought some brake fluid and gasket maker today so i can make me a intake gasket and bleed the clutch, then all i got to do is stick in the axles and hook up the shifter and see what happens

Re: I has a civic - update thread

last night i went out there and installed the clutch lines and put the intake back on the motor, it still idles at 5000rpm, so i took the intake off again only to see bits of old gasket around the studs, so i removed that slapped it back on with some gasket sealer and called it a night, Tomorrow i will go at it again to see if i can try get it driving, the other day i also scammed a car alarm from an integra for it. its a uniden the same as my car has. just another thing that iu dint have to buy for it. Anyways pics tomorrow and maybe a vid if i can get it to drive by then

Re: I has a civic - update thread

did not manage to get any videos of the civic driving as i do not have any radiator hoses which fails hard. Anyways i spent the day in the interior sorting out the wiring, i put the heater fan etc back in mounted the ecu and hid all the wires

    and installed the alarm

hope i get tuesday off work then ill be at it again its ready for the dash to go back in.

Re: I has a civic - update thread

This weekend i went to pick a part, Found a B18B Powered domani (different looking eg type sedan) and i took its accelerator cable, radiator and hoses engine loom and a p54 ecu which seems to be factory chipped :-S )

I also got a dc steering wheel for it so it will look standard. now i need time to make it work. the reason i got the engine loom is cause its currently OBD2 and i want it to be OBD1 for tuning purposes.

I also got the b18b dizzy so if anyone with a b20a swap wants to go OBD1 i can sell you it
