while my car is idling (like at a stop light or something) i can feel little like "hiccups." with every "hiccup" my lights dim. i have a new battery(3-4 months, it's an everstart), and i'm going to replace my plugs tommorow. any ideas?

no, there are just little jerks almost like a misfire only much less noticeable
the "hiccups" are probably just causing your alternator to spin slower and therefore causing them to reduce output at every hiccup and this makes your lights dim

Is your cooling fan working? I might be trying to come on and failing. If it does work check your spark plug wires, cap and rotor.
measure your battery voltage while car is running should be STEADY 14.5 volt ! and about 15 V at 3000 rpm !
