Re: I'll be the Guinea Pig! [test subject]

I dont know what happened to the post but anyway, I bought a set of aluminum louvers last night from spoilers4less.com for my hatch. I paid $290.00 for it and the purchase was basically sight unseen. The photo they use in the listing is just a stock image and does not represent the actual one for the application. So with all that said I have my fingers crossed that it wont look hokie. It sould deliver in 5-10 days and I will take pics as fast as I can get it out of the box... More to come

They make the hatch look like a 85 Camaro.

I never like em myself especially the metal ones.

Do post pictures though it might be nice looking.

Louvers used to be hot back in the 70s and 80's and if you take a long look you'll see them making a come back. I always dug them but they slipped from fashion for many years. The truth is that Im "funk disco" to the core!

Aluminum though? I thought they were usually plastic or fiberglass.
    Eagerly awaiting pictures.

I like the aluminum over the ABS due to warpage. The UV rays and heat will have those louvers twisted in a couple of years. An aluminum set will just fade a bit but thats easily corrected. Aluminum was the original material for this car when louvers were available as an aftermarket accessory.

Hey, Im just trying to keep it real. I got my fingers crossed.

You know I think you're right now that I think about it. They were steel but the point was that the original were made from metal not plastic. Check my sig I actually had a set...
