Brackets painted and installed:
Test fit:
It won't be visible once the trim is installed.
Trim painted. Its still wet:

Done!
Looks stock eh?
Compared to stock trim:
How I ran the wires into the door. I don't feel like hacking the door so I slipped the wires under the weatherseal. Tested and no leaks found
All that left now is to do the other side. Man I hate sanding!
And yeah I'm still searching for the powered right side.
Right now I'm debating if I should use JDM power mirror switch with extra switch added for the folding function..
..or something else modded to fit. I'm leaning towards on using other switch. The wiring on the stock switch is very different and is tricky to work with.

Stock switch all the way! and man you got skillz! that came out fresh!!1

I knew you be able to get that mirror to really look like it was meant to be there.
Just didn't expect it to happen so fast!
Nice work.
thats some flash work there, way cool!
I've got myself a 5g switch and control box:
Marked and ready to cut:
It fits!
Some bondo to fill the tiny gap:
Tested with the Nissan mirrors and its working like a charm. I'm waiting for my right side power folding unit, it should be here by next week. I'm excited!!
Wiring pics tomorrow.
There are few problems that I had with the wiring. What do you expect with both switch and mirrors came from different manufacturer? No matter how I wired it up, the mirror movement will go the other way the button is pressed, pressing up moves the mirror down, left moves the mirror to right. I fixed that by reversing the 12v and negative wires to the switch.
But I faced another problem since the folding relay requires +12v to fold and since I reversed the +12v and ground to the main mirror switch, the folding button connects to ground instead of 12v, so it wont work. I fixed that by connecting the button to +12 instead (originally ground)
I'm not in the mood to explain whats going on in this picture, but you can see how I soldered the switch (upper left) to +12v instead of going to the ground connector.
Bondo sanded:
Some trimming required to the dash:
Installed!
Now that rear defroster switch looks so out of place.. Newish style fog light switch in place of that maybe?

uber cool, i like what you did with the mirror switch too!
Thanks guys!
I'm trying to figure out how to connect them to my alarm since my 2 way alarm just died and still in RMA process (which took ages!) and I'm stuck with POS alarm without any trigger when armed/disarmed other than lock/unlock trigger. I think I could figure that out.
And I'm still pissed at my camera![]()
i have a shitty alarm too lol, i used a couple relays and tapped into the lock/unlock trigger
Yep I think I've figured that out and I hope its going to work :p
Dude that looks sick! Great work!
