    Stereo Very quite

Okay the Bose stereo in my 89 SE-i is very quite. Could there be a fuse issue. or maybe just wiring, If its wiring Then I'm fine with it.

I'm wondering because I'm going to rip it all out, And install a new one, But I want to know if it will affect my new system I plan to put in, in anyway.

sounds like the stock bose amp took a crap, when u put a new deck in just run new speaker wire to bypass the bose amp and unplug it

The wires run to and from the amp. Cut the leads from the amp and bypass the amp at the amp. Its much easier then trying to run wiring through the doors. I would try to find a replacement if it was me. The stock amp being hi line driven off aftermarket power would help that much more. Thats how mines been for quite a long time. The stock amp takes it just fine as well.

Sorry to have to ask, But where would the amp be located? under the dash, cause I think that's the only place I have left besides some side panels I haven't gotten off yet.

Aren't the only things that the SE-i could have that the LX-i couldn't were the Bose system, steering wheel stereo controls, the dual-tip exhaust and wheels? Otherwise, the cool things that the SE-i usually has were at least options on the LX-i. Oh, factory leather, and special colors.

I want a picture of the amp! I've never seen one.

If it's quite quiet, everything they said above is true. Find a new amp or bypass it with a new head unit, then it will be quite loud.

everytime i see this thread it allways makes me want to butt in and tell you to turn the volume up more, even tho that is not the case. I dont think JDM accords even came with a "flash az ow stereo system" we did have a optional powered center subwoofer tho.

:P got it out, but I don't have a tool to open it tonight.

Plus the fact she cut my finger, and a nice scratch going down the upper back side of my left arm.

:O she didn't like me working on her tonight.
