I would get some cheap duct tape and string it out on those open holes, myself I get the dropsies sometimes and freak out about the mouseholes and where did that nut or bolt disappear to
oh yeah, hitting up Boater's World and a lawnmower repair place in the next few days to see if I can find some grommet's to plug up all the holes. I HATE mice in my car.

My Build Thread
Shit! I knew something wasn't fitting quite right.
<-- That's what I do on a daily basis thinking about this build.
The honest answer is I'm trying, and working on it almost every night. That engine pic was taken at about 7:30am as I was leaving for work. I had finally decided to call it a night at about 3:00am that same morning, so I can get at least 3hrs of sleep. Last night I didn't get home until about 11 and was dead tired so I had to admit defeat on the night. Tonight though, I intend to pull another all-nighter, and will be requesting a half-day tomorrow so I can get home early and get to work on it.
It is painted. The block is painted high-temp gloss black, and the head is high-temp aluminum paint.
I can confirm without any question of doubt that the MegaJolt system WILL NOT be going in before the meet. I just can't afford to buy the box right now, so that will have to wait. It will just have a stock dizzy for now. Honestly as much as I've talked about this thing, it's basically a bone-stock motor right now. The only slight upgrade is the head. The bottom end still has crappy A1 (PK4) pistons, stock crank, and stock rods. It's just hopefully a refreshed motor.

I was talking about the ports on the head, both sides. tape them up while your working around them so you dont drop someting in there dude
sadly I think I'll even be choking her with a stock exhaust because funding and time has basically run out. ...but we shall see.
