    OBD1 conversion question...

so, I finally converted over to OBD1 w/ a p28 and hondata s200, the car starts and seems to rev up fine. I have not driven it yet so I do not know if it is 100% correct yet. anyway, I am throwing a code 20 Electrical Load Detector.

I have been reading some conflicting information, some say that the p28 looks for an ELD and on cars that do not have one it will trigger a CEL. others have said all cars have them.

do any obd1 gurus have a little insight on something like this?

maybe I can switch it off with my hondata

    Re: OBD1 conversion question...

To my knowledge the PR4 and possibly the P75 are the only obd1 ECUs that do not require an ELD. It's easy to wire and if you're really lazy there's the resistor mod...
