Here is my girlfriends 89 lxi that we just bought last week for 600 with a broken cam. aka Nancy Jr.
97,xxx
My dad found it on craigslist.
New stuff that was on it:
radiator
starter
cv axles
paint job
tires


We started working on it right away and after taking the valve train off found out the cam had dug into the journals in the head...It then snapped. Luckily the bottom end was still in good condition and still had the cross hatch pattern on the cylinder walls.


The car has a pretty bad oil leak from the pan so I think the lady just ran it low.
For some reason the whole intake was filled with oil though.. It was pretty weird.
She must have snapped the cam and realized the oil was low, then overfilled it.

Anyways a $60 head and $45 head gasket later and she runs pretty damn well. The tranny shifts super smooth (auto). I'm really glad I talked her into buying this car, I know I had a lot of great memories in my 3g.

I've been out of the 3g game for a little bit, I sold mine...

Yeah the tan and black was always my favorite too at least for lxi's. The molding is painted black.

Thanks man, that was the second time I painted it. The first paint job was a darker grey. I had some enkei 92s to put on the car but never got around to it and just sold them with the car. My friend bought it who lives in New Orleans. I told him to join but i guess he never did.

Oh well, that's in the past now as the car is back on the road and running. Soon enough, we'll have to start pushing you to swap this bastard over to stick, but for now we'll let NancyJ get back on the road for a bit.

Yeah I've never seen it either, It's my girlfriends car so I don't think we'll be swapping the auto out haha. It's fun driving a 3g again... even if it's auto and slow, brings back a lot of good memories.

Yeah I love those wheels on 3gs and ls mesh too. The car looked sick with fat fives but I curbed one of them really bad and just sold them for 200 which was how much i bought them for.

It's obo. Before the group buy they used to go for like $300 it was crazy so i thought 160 would be a decent price. I only put like 4,000 miles on it.

Oh shit I just realized who you were... I remember your sister from PP talking about that 240 way back when you just got it. I didn't know you sold your Accord though, that thing was crazy clean.
