have your shorted the contacts on the plug that goes into the thermosensor to verify they fans are getting power and the relay works.

then the problem lies in your wiring if the sensor didn't fix it.. are you sure you replaced the right sensor? There are 2 right next to each other that look pretty much identical

The fan switch is on the bottom of the radiator. Are you overheating? Do the fans come on with AC?

A faulty thermostat or air in the system will cause the sub cooling fan to come on as you describe. Change your thermostat and bleed the coolant.

yes i changed the one on the bottom of the radiator and it is still doing the same thing could it be one of the other ones near the thermostat it runs hot after idling for about 15-20 minutes bc the fan never comes on until you turn the car off then the sub cooling fan comes on but not the big that is supposed to come on

Also in the mainfuse box there is

    Cooling fan relay

    sub cooling relay

    cooling fan fuse

    sub cooling fan fuse

    cooling fan timer fuse

Check all maybe you missed something there. Fan timer fuse maybe

Go look at the fan timer fuse, just out of curiosity, you can also switch the two relays around and see if that fan comes on when it heats up.I believe they take the same relays.

    Re: cooling fan not working

The aux/sub fan switch is located on the thermostat housing, before the thermostat. It is the larger of the sensors, and has a green connector. If the thermostat isn't properly opening, there isn't going to be a high enough flow of coolant to flow through the top of the radiator and be hot when it gets to the bottom, where the main fan switch is located... Since the aux fan switch is before the thermostat and isn't dependent on flow, it will signal the timer to run the aux fan.

Change the thermostat and bleed the cooling system. Use the honda part, it makes a difference.
