89lxi....swap??

I have and 89 honda accord lxi that i wanna do a swap to. i heard its a waste of time and its pointless but i like my car and i was wanted to know what is the motor to swap and what will give me the best performance. i was told to get a civic but fuck that i love my accord... help

Nothing drops right in except the JDM Accord B20A (which is one of three different B20s Honda made, so careful what you look for), but other B- and H-series have been done before. Best bang for your buck (aside from boosting the A20A3) would be a B20A.

dont forget the mounts that are now available (well soon ) for b series motors and the conversion harnesses

Yea..If you cant even get an idea on what motor to go with on your own, you probably shouldnt be doing the swap.

the only reason i asked is cause someone told me i got to be careful which one i put in there. If it doesn't matter then i can choose

no it matters the only one that fits is the b20a from a jdm 3geez

you can buy mounts now for any b series
but you need the wire upgrades and a motor prooly just as expensive as sourcing a b20a

o ok thanks and i am gonna try to do the swap sometime around the beginning of next year when i get back from basic and get my money from that and the taxes come in too so yea
