so i went to smog the hatch today and the rpm is to high
about 1250 or so
how can i get it below 1k just for a smog check
the only thing i noticed was #1 is loose or broken

it almost feels broken
like you turn it and it just turns
nothing else
and its wobbly
there is a scerw in there, tightent it to lower the idle thats what i did when my 3g had a high idle

ya the high ideal dosent bother me any
just as long as its low when i take it in
anyone else got any suggestions
usually if your idles high due to either a vacuum leak or idle screw/fast idle valve adjustment it will do that gay rev bouncing thing. which leads me to think the throttle stop screw may be holding the TB open or ur cables too tight etc
either that or it is a vacuum leak and ur TPS is fucked
it does that but not all the time just very occasional
theres a oring that seals the idle screw.
I have a few laying around here if you need them.
i thikn that screw is snapped i have to take the red line off to see if it falls out
of so im gona need a extraction tool
oh and the filter box you gave me apparently the 87 -89 had dif bolt holes lol they dont line up
but the dude at the smog place did not care
I also have a spare throttle body if needed..
I have one of those in the parts shed also if u need it geddy

the back 2 windows dont work the regulators are shot pos cable kind
i just replaced the front drivers side corner light need to smog it soon
insurance so forth so on
it just hasent been a priority to be putting miles on the hatch
