Here's a pic of what a 86-87 smoked clear turn signal looks like

Sorry it's not on a car. I need to hook up with a 86-87 owner and have that person try them on and see. And I would use black screw's instead of shiny silver one's.

The only problem I had was that the plastic it's made from is more difficult to work with that when I create a clear from plexiglass or lexan.

wow... that looks great Jim... your hatches blinker housing wont fit that??? I would definitly be interested in what material and tools you used.. I did mine with the plasitc that they use for halogen light casing... that thing was so hard to work with... kept cracking in half and shit... plus its not clear its frosted... nice work...

You yeah it would fit,.........if I had a front bump on the car lol:lol
It'll fit any 86-87 car. I used sheet (big sheet, like 2ft by 3ft) smoked plexiglass.

I've done "pure clear" clears and they don't really look right so I use a process I figured to put a mild frost on the leses that aren't smoked. I'll be creating a post in the market section to show what they look like.

Tools are a hack saw, premade pattern to copy and a dremel tool. Takes about a hour to make on lens. Plus theirs other work involved that adds another hour.

i think you should start making them for anyone who wants clear lights for 86-87.
i wish there was a way to make 88-89 smoked clear.

Yeah I'll do that. I did bobafett's reflector clears that way.
I'll paint the inside area that's white silver and I'll retake pics and repost them.

No, I can't. My car got in a accident and I don't have a front bumper facia on it right now. It's got frame damage so one of these days it'll be going to the wrecker's. But in the mean time I'll use it to test some suspension fitment idea's.

I hope that the member that will be ordering a pair of the smoked turn signal assemblies will take a couple of pics and post them.
