Help im confused....prob easy answer
Okay so I am trying to change my starter, on an 89 lx auto. I have no idea how to get to the bolts to get it off! There is all kinds of lines and hoses and bull shit in my way and I cant see anything! Im sorry i know its a newb question but I am a newb so advice anyone could give me would be very much appreciated!!!
disconnect the batt first off.
if it will make it easier, mark the dizzy position and remove it.
if you still have the factory air cleaner assembly, remove the big pipe that goes to behind the batt.
remove the big cable off the solenoid and the wee wire aswell.
from memory, a 14mm socket and prob a 6 inch extension and ratchet are what you'll be wanting to undo the starter bolts.
get an old motor bike mirror to help see where you need to go.
coolant hoses etc can be pushed out of the way.
cool got it out b4 work today will be finishing putting in my new one tomorrow....my first successful repair on this car lol
ya a good extension is always best lol starters are easy anyways wait till the alt has to be done lol
