Purchased a 89 Accord (carb). The prevoius owner disconnected the hose running from the valve cover to the air cleaner at the air cleaner. A rainex plastic bottle was placed under the hood near the left fender well and the valve cover hose that formerly went to the air cleaner modified to direct oil into the cannister. I assume from the quantity of oil collected in a short drive that if it was permitted to go to the air cleaner it would dump a significant quantity of oil into the carb. The vehicle leaks oil at about every gasket and misses but does not appear to burn oil out the tail pipe. Any suggestions on the fix? I assume that reconnecting it to the correct position will dump oil in the carb.
