    Unhappy Headlight switch help =(

Hey guys. My light switch went out. I got off work late last night started up turned (tried) on the headlight and that bitch turned and i felt something gave and now I have no light switch. Anyone know how to fix this?

Basically when I tried to switch the headlights on I had to force it to the parking lights position and when i did that it gave way and now i can roll the switch back and forth like there's nothing in there.

Is there a way to switch out or yank out this switch? I have a feeling I'm gonna need a new one.

Also my dad told me to figure out where the headlight relay is? Yea i know that's a noob question. But hey I'm a noob.

HELP ME PLEASE! I have to drive at night! Last night driving home i had to flip up the lights hold on highbeems and drive around with my hazards on! I was lucky i didn't get pulled over!

Thought so. Does it come off at the switch or do i pull away the wheel and stuff then the entire assembly of the switch bar thing comes off?

I'm sure you can just clean/repair it.

There are no headlight relays on our cars, that's why you can't go over-wattage on the headlight bulbs, you'll kill the switch (been there).

If he can spin the stalk round and round that means the little plastic pin molded into the rod at the end that moves the slider in the switch is broken off. You can glue it back on, but its easier to get a new switch, rebuild it and forget about it.

the relay in the fuse box is the high - low beam interchange - usually on fixed headlight cars

i've had problems with switches in both of mine i bought one frome ebay and it did the same thing. this might be different than yours but on mine now the outer switch rotates and the inner part rotates too so i have to hold both and line it up where i want it. but i have a feeling your problem is different right?
