well the cheapest would be to cut your springs yourself, or you could take them to a shop and have them just cut your springs. how low do u want to go? at www.tokicogasshocks.com you can a get a pair of lowering springs that will drop you car 1" for $59. if you want any kind of comfortableness you'll want to get new shocks as well

What you do depend's on how much you do or do not care about how you car rides and drives. All lowering springs are stiffer and need struts that are likewise firmer. The strut makers don't really offer very many strut choices for our car's. And only one of them should really be used with lowering springs in the front of the car, unfortunately it's NOT the cheapest one you can buy, Koni's $108 each. But even the cheapest strut that can be used on OTHER lowered cars isn't cheap either ($85 each for KYB AGX struts) So if you want to slam it you can get arospeed 2.25" drop springs for $99 or coilovers for $129 and thenadd $424 for Koni's and you have $553. Have Koni shorten the front strut bodies for $130 and you paid $683 for the coilovers or $654 is you went with the springs.

    Cool, you won't be sorry.

Don't skimp on suspension stuff, you get what you pay for. Unlike thing's like allot of mufflers, where you can just pick what please's you and sounds right. The right struts will keep you happy in the long run. You don't want to have to replace cause you made the wrong choice or worse, pretend their ok and keep them.

3" drop? You mean coilovers, right mike? Lowest spring drop I've found is 2.5" The Arospeed spring's are 2.5"front 2.25" rear.

Because I did a search on the springs and the sites I found listed them as such. And when I visited their corperate web site I could not access anything, not info for me. But your asking this caused me to pick up the phone and call them. Gee guess what, they said the springs are a even drop,............a even 2 Inch drop, not a 2.25" drop, go figure. I will email the tech guy and ask what the spring rates are and ask about the drop height again just to double check.

Would 1" make a that much difference in handling or looks? Would it be that much bouncier..?

How much of a difference 1" will make, depend's on how you view a unlowered 3rd gen. If you look at it and say "damn that thing looks like a 4-wheeler", then your not going to be happy with 1". I don't think it's enough, but you might, I dunno. Will it make a difference in handling, yes their spring rates (stiffness) over stock springs will make a difference. Do not think of bounce as being a spring problem, it is a strut broblem. Read more one this subject here.https://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6882
