other note, is there a fuse that controls the interior lights? Just noticed my dome light wont come on now along with the trunk interior lights and i cant remember if the gear selections light up on the shifter or not but if they do light up they dont work either

it's under the hood in that fuse box, i can't remember which one it is,i think it's marked lighter

No they don't. The dash light selector do on my auto.

They do on the autos.

It lights up the letters on the auto by the shifter. But does not light up what gear you are in by the shifter. There is a red thin plastic piece that is next to the letters/numbers that you can see during the day but not so easily at night.

The shift console turns on; there is a small bulb on one of its ends. What it does not indicate (at least in mine) is what gear is in; for that I look at the indicator in the dashboard (quite more convenient)
