    Torque Converzion

I got some Questions about torque converters:

    1) What does it do?
    2) Where is it?
    3) What is the best stall speed, for performance?
    4) What is the stock one's stall speed?
    5) Do I HAVE to have one?
    6) Whats the square root of 69?

1.)Its a fluid coupler used to connect the tranny and the engine (used in place of a clutch in a 5spd)
2.)Bolted to the flexplate on the end of the crankshaft. Its actually inside the bellhousing.
3.)The Higher ususally the better, but for street use....a 3k stall would be insane.....maybe a 2k-2.5k stall.
4.) I'm not sure but it blows
    5.) Not if you have a 5spd
    6.)8.???? anybody with a calculator?
In the end...it doesn't even matter.
