Hey guys just recently purchased my Accord, bought it completly stock have been workin away on it ever since my crank seal blew, so im open to any tips or advice that might help me with droppin another motor in, current motor has 387,000k.

oh and why would u replace the motor becuase of the crank seal? the one in the 91 one blew a couple weeks ago and has been leaking since (and will leak until the timing belt gets done.. ) but imo just replace the seal and the engine should be fine (unless theres other problems that i am unaware of with the motor if thats the case then ignore every thing i just said)

Aside from the little side of rice that car looks great, it'll clean up real well. CAH made a good point, the crank seal doesn't mean the motor's done so you may be able to keep it.
well i figured to get it back on the road asap, best route would be to find a lower K motor.I definetly will be rebuilding a motor in the future.Originally Posted by Civic Accord Honda

Crank seal aint the only thing goin on, i have no 5th gear, got the car with that issue. It just is like a second neutral?? So i got my work cut out for the time being.

Looks good man!!, i woulda gone with some Hella or autopals head lights as the cheaper ones tend to leak as they get older so you might want to look in to that some time down the road but since you allready bought thoughs mind as well get some use out of them and use them until the bulbs go bad
and yeah my 3g had the that lovely 2nd nuetral as welll !!!
and if you plan on rebuilding the current engine then getting another engine to throw in defently sounds like a good idea

awsome dude thanks !, ill keep that in mind. . . these lights arnt so bad, they have the removable H4 bulb, so its just a matter of keeping the lense sealed. Nice progress, I kinda like the subtle blue lighting on the floor although it could be a bit dimmer in my opinion but thats just me :p All-n-all lookin good. And wow those new headlights are quite a bit brighter haha.
ha thanks, thats wut im shootin for, that crazy blue glow lol, i have the sony amp with blue led's and my compasitor has blue led's, its my interior theme.

yeah you do...these cars need a good 5th gear...unless you want to rev your engine till 4k just to go 60mph

5th gear is pretty simple to change, you don't even need to drop the tranny out the car.
