Does that stuff you laid down have any anti-corrosion properties to it? You might want to spray down some etch primer or something before you bog over it...
Cancer n1 is dead!

Hi Eduardo, I'm portuguese too and i'm looking for a front corner light for my honda accord ex sedan 85. maybe you could help me? you have a nice car there!
I am so used to looking at my 2nd gen HB, that that hatch on yours looks euro cool. And those headlights are Sweet !!!
Nice ride, good luck !!!
I have to worn you about your rust repairs.. I bout my car wit the same rust treatment un rear fenders and few other places, you know what? the rusting never stopped and it looks ugly now.. I recomend to do it properly with welding..
But overall your car looks good!!

Its prttey fnuny how you can raed tihs eintre snetnece with all tehse ellters out of palce...
My Build Thread
Wise words... the rust never really stops once it's there!
I'm needing to redo bits of my '82 once it's back on the road... needin to sort a couple of areas of paint where the shade is off so it'll get done then.
There's a few products made by Hammerite... one called Kurust that acts as a rust killer/barrier and the rust struggles to get through once applied; another is Hammerite No 1 Rust Beater and it's an all in one rust killer & primer. I fiberglassed a hole in my '85 EX rear quarter over 10 years ago, used this special paint & the rust round the repair has never come back through! The car is spares only now & is stored in damp conditions which is saying something.
You get good weather in Portugal so whatever repairs you do will last longer, so maybe do a more permanent repair next time... otherwise nice Hatch & photos!

Its been a while but i back.
As you guys said, the rain season started and its becoming rusted again
No surprises there, the areas getting rusted again are the ones i did not use fiber glass, i was an idiot. The others treated with the rust converter and with fibber glass are good and healthy.
Few days ago i found a pool in my trunck, reason? The hole to where the water should drain was closed, and im still trying to find out where did the water came from, for this i had to dismount all the trunk and the rear passengers seats and side panels, and im going to take the car to a friend garage and literally flood it
The car MOT expired, since i was not able to fix the headlight and the brake problems ( brakes got stuck after heating). I got the new headlight, bought on ebay for 1 dollaroriginal headlight by bosch.
Also bought the rear cylinders, because it was breaking less 60% from one of the sides, and im waiting for the arrival of the brake master cylinder, bought in the US at Car parts Discount (GOTTA LOVE THIS FELLAS)
Another changes:
New exhaust and new mudflaps, since it was required to pass at the MOT.
More news soon.

Wow that is a nice looking Bosch unit. I didn't realize they made the housings. The pair I have are made my Stanley. I thought they were just the ones who made all Honda's OEM lighting. Pretty nice buy!
I also see the Concept Honda Accord hatchback picture on your desk there!![]()
Wow great work on the rust repair , My 86 has some pretty bad rust on the rockers and rear panels that i need to fix before i repaint it
1986 Honda Accord LX-i Sedan 5speed with 287000 miles on it! still runs great
Thanks fellas, about the headlight, this was the answer i got from Honda in Portugal
"There are 2 brands which make the Accord headlight, Stanley and Bosch, the difference its that the Stanley glass of the headlight its sealed, so it can not be changed if brakes, the Bosch its detachable and changeable. For the Stanley the price its 250 dollars, for the Bosch glass part of the headlight its 80 dollars."
its for sale, yesterday i was trying to find out a water leak that lead to the trunk, making a pool. Removed the trunk and side panels...find out that the B pillar from the right side its wroten and almost spliting in 2, ans both the A pillars are in very bad shape...very sad right now. I need a car to ride all days, a daily driver and in this condition its not safe...anyway, in this week i will take to the some garage or shop to see how much it will cost me to fix this...
Start of a sad Christmas![]()
500 dollars to fix pillar B, sorry...thats to much for me.
Understandable. Another 2gee in your future?![]()
Who knows! The gee its going to stay until someone buy it, if no one takes it, it will wait till im rich enough to fix it. I do love this ride. Deep inside i dont wanna sell it.
Im going to another continent now, gona buy a Audi 80 GTE from 86, 1800/115 cv to make company to the Audi 80 GL from 1983.

The 80 GT/E should be a great car... good choice!
I've just bought a 1990 90 20v Sport, to go with my daily Audi 80 V6. The Honda's are for dry day motoring! I think I'll be selling my '84 & '85 in the coming year though.
Here's my old 90 (4000) Quattro!
