well that was a fascinating article. but it proved the last guy wrong. we have gobs and gobs of torque anyway, and our cars need to rev faster, so that's why I'm doing it. besides with a new stage 1 clutch flywheel new cv shafts and all that ish. man ill be lockin' up the power! and i saw how fast a stock 2nd gen revved with one and now both my SI and accord are getting one. i think the one for the si is like 10lbs. and for my accord it be like 8 something!! why are they so damned expensive lol why is it all so expensive!!!! anyway enough random mumbling.

i love my lighten flywheels...both my cars have them
1989 Honda Accord LX-i
B18c1 swap since 7/2011
175whp and 132tq
Redzone tuned
OH yes lighten flywheel is a must my stock one machined down to 10lbs is great!! And the carbs can run better economy they just need to be jetted properly and you need to drive properly!! I can get good mileage from my DCOE's so getting good mileage from a 32/36 or 38/38 should be easy!!
yeah i totally agree, i cannot wait to get a stage one clutch for it, i know a couple machine shops ill see what i can get done, with a 272 cam regrind the tranny swap and upgrade, this car will run like a champ, especially for the kind of racing ill be doing with it.
difference between night and day with the 32/36 vs the 38, it was the only mod on the DX when I had it on there and it totally changed the car's demeanor. The butt dyno said around 20 hp.. lol
You should pick up mpg with teh weber for one reason being you will not be wasting as much gas in choke cycleing and runnawy rpms.. LOL
On the 38 I have which is now on the B20, I changed the idle jet from 55 to 50 and it made a WORLD of difference in MPG. Also not as rich but still a wee rich cuz teh float is a curnt hair higher than spec.
