Since when did Aussie's get Hatchbacks?

I had always been under the impression that US/CA were the only ones that got 3G hatchbacks?

What the hell is this all about:

They got aerodecks, didn't they? The rear lights are similar if not the same.

very similar yes, but also definitely different. Notice the aero has rounded corners on the inside sides of the housings, while the hatchies do no. Those look very square in the pic.

    I'm confused.

Why am I just hearing about this now? Fook this, I'm packing my bags. I'm moving. I want a collection of all 4(5) different flavors.

    So you get:
    Aerodeck
    Hatchback
    Coupe
    Sedan (flip and fixed?)

Do your coupes and hatchbacks have fixed lights, too? I heard that all Aerodecks have flips...

They could have been lazy and not taken a picture if their actual tail light or one from another Aerodeck, so they just used that one.

I heard the Coupe aka Notchback was only built in NorthAmerica, and the japs and whatnot liked it so much they would import it, and be drivin on the left. Kinda what we're doing now with the later Supras and the Skyline...

only the sedans came standard with fixed headlights, all others would have to have been converted. and japan never got hatchbacks, they did get coupes though, they built them in the USA and exported them to japan (apparently it was cheaper or something) under the "import edition" name

I think the SE-i only came in coupes and sedans (sedans being more rare, I believe...). Hatchbacks didn't even have an LX, did they? It was either DX or LX-i, right? Then our coupes and sedans had DX, LX, LX-i, SE(?) and SE-i.

As far as i know, the majority of europe never saw the pop-up headlight model....

So in Japan you could order a fixed or popup sedan?....

Btw, I beleive our EX-i is basically the equivilent of the LX-i and not the SE-i because the SE-i was a special edition whereas the EX-i wasn't.... The EX-i did however come with 4 wheel disk brakes and ALB, i think in most of europe...

No, we did get 4 wheel disk brakes but ALB was only for 88-89 B20a8. Never for regular A20a4 EXi
Altho there was option, very rare EXR edition sold in EU with Carb A18a and Digital Cluster.
    this would me more correct.

Not quite right, I think the ALBs were an option for any accord. I'm pretty sure I've seen them on an EX (carbed A20).

LHD models can be seen all over the world, although in alot of countries the RHD models were WAY more prevalent. I believe most of the RHD models were fixed headlights too, but i could be wrong.

Sort of. With one minor correction...

The Hatch was made in US and Japan. There is a way to determine the country of mfg based on the vin and the gauge cluster (from what I remember, US had fuel/temp needles pointing in, while Jap had fuel/temp needles pointing out [or may be the other way around])

Charlie--> Partially correct. Yes, hatch only came in DX and LX-i.

From what I've seen, the SE-i Coupe is more rare than the SE-i sedan. The SE-i sedan only came in two colors: Black and a brownish/bronze. SE-i Coupe only came in two colors: brownish/bronze and a deep blue/green. (Not the factory color names.)

Hatch and sedan were made all 4 years (86-89), but the Coupe was only made in 88-89. Sedan and Hatch had unpainted bumpers with the DX model, while LX and LX-i had painted bumpers. HOWEVER, Coupes were only made in 88-89, and were only available in DX or LX-i trim, and ALL had painted bumpers.

    That's all I got.
