Japanese Domestic Market.

It basically refers to shit that was available on the cars--from the factory--in japan/asian countries.

also aftermarkt parts that were only sold in japan, normaly rims are the biggest item dealing with that

wow, uhm, ok, JDM stands for, Japanese Domestic Market/Manufacturer. these "jdm" parts are essentially parts, add-on's, options, that were available in japan and it's direct exporters that were not available to the U.S. so in respect, USDM parts are partially unavailable to say japan, or any other country that never had what we have.
