    So i have these 2nd gen prelude 13x5's and need tires

    So here's the deal. i have high performance maxxis 205/45/17's (which f*ckin' rule on this car by the way). I want some like fall winter early spring tires. I have decided on the type (high performance all season (unidirectional) tires). I just need some help on tire sizes. I Want to go with a smaller diameter (it will shorten my top speed but it will help with accelleration. I checked a tire calculator and a 195/55/15 would be 7.6% Fast (so when it says 60 your doing 55.5mph(approx 100kph). Any opinions on this. i know there are some gurus out there. (and yes i realize ill have hhhuuuugeeeee wheel weels when i roll these but its not style its all performance and function on this accord) I need some advice i have run smaller diameters and it felt like it accelerated faster. and i mean the speedo is slow so let them fire!!!

    Your planned new size is still greater than stock diameter. You may want to consider 195/50-15 instead for a 2.2% diameter decrease from stock.

    589.2 mm = 13*25.4+1.4*185 stock 185/70-13
    595.5 mm = 15*25.4+1.1*195 +1% 195/55-15
    576 mm = 15*25.4+1.0*195 -2.2% 195/50-15
    616.3mm = 17*25.4+0.9*205 +4.5% 205/45-17

    The tire sticky thread may also be worth reviewing for a decent listing of plus sizes:
