i'll try, it's not easy, everything on the engine had to converted to threaded fittings first, involved making a lot of one off pieces and tons of fitting to get everything in there. usually had to make threaded pieces and weld them on to existing pieces. it's nearly impossible to pre assemble, everything has to be test fitted. still have issues with getting some of the coolant lines right. I can tell you right off that the cost of all the lines and fittings is astronomical, i got a lot of stuff salvage from aircraft lines that were not servicable for aircraft anymore, mostly stale dates. and collected the fittings for years, plus a lot of stuff i had left over from when i used to race in the 90's. I replaced most ogf the coolant lines, the power steering lines, and fuel system, plus the system for the oil seperator, and catch can, mostly one off, I estimated the cost of the aeroquip stuff and lines to be around 4 grand if bought retail at full cost, like from summit.

Re: some interesting new parts for the carb setup

added a couple of tension springs to the side of the choke balance bar, that will will help unload the two choke springs on the carb.

well both chokes move in sync, still have to connect the two cables together, have to move the bell crank over about an inch to make the cable clear the power antenna motor, not a major deal,i figured i might have to.

thats how i did most of my fittings,i had to fabricate each one from sections of original pieces,it's a son of a bitch to do. each one really has to be fitted one piece at a time, I don't know how i would put this stuff together without actually being able to work on the car. this was the same situation with the power steering pump, i had the pump with the detachable line,so i cut the hose off at the steel fittings, then modified an AN fitting adaptor and silver soldered it in place. the point was to have AN fittings at each end of the hose, then when i can afford it,i'll buy six feet of aeroquip PS hose, and make up the line itself. really the only way to do all this stuff is to individually fit each piece to the particular car.

I don't know, like i explained it's hard to make this stuff up and have it just fit without being able to work on the car, i spent two years of spare time doing this engine.

Re: few pictures after i cleaned out my garage working on the choke linkage

just so people know how this work, each "choke" is attached to the balance bar on the manifold, when the cable from the bell crank under the dash is pulled,by the choke knob cable, it pulls the cable attached to the choke balance bar, the cable on the balance bar is a throttle cable from an LXI, you can't see the actual pieces moving on the carbs because they are out of sight, they aren't actual chokes, they are mixture enrichment devices, they move the metering needle itself, there are no choke plates to restrict airflow through the carbs. I still have to put some clamps on the cables and such.

thats all you need just to convert them? take some pictures of your parts and let me know exactly what you want to do to them, if you just want fittings on them,i can do that much. as far as an airport lol, we are in the middle of nowhere unless you are flying in on a single engine plane. I'll try to help you the best i can.

I have some but most of what i have now is already designated to go on the car somewhere, still missing some pieces now that i need to finish the plumbing. Just getting back into working on it again, been a lot of crap going on with my family keeping me from doing anything lately.

Ok here is the arm i had to add to the bell crank to increase the leverage for the cable from the choke knob.
