    neebie!!

    not sure if this is the right section but im sorry if its not, but im new to this site, but not new to hondas, but new to this old of honda, so this is my first honda accord 89 lxi sedan, and i dont know anything about these things, so any helpfull tips or things to look out for and that kinda info will be greatly appriciated(sp?) my accord is completely stock, and i dont know if i should spend money on this thing or just fix things that need fixing???? o by the way my name is mike, im from missouri, if anyone has any questions or want to give me some tips then hit me up thanks guys and i look forward to learning new stuff!!!

    my car is pretty rough its got some rust,, but ill throw some pics up when i can after i clean it... and to the other post no we dont have emmisions where i am at yet, why??

    Hi Mike and welcome to the site. If you want a good running car that will last a long time and not cause undue headache, then you should keep it bone stock unless you have a very compelling reason to change. I have a '93 Accord with hub over rotor brakes in the front. Those will be getting replaced with Acura rotor over hub brakes because the original design is overly expensive and needlessly difficult to repair. That's about the only reason not to stay with a stock design as far as I'm concerned.

    If your goal is to impress your buddies, then that's a whole different ball game. If that's the object, then you want to start with a solid base car and work from there. I don't think one with lots of rust really fits that bill, but that's something you have to decide.

    Of course, if the car is your daily driver and you need it to get to work, then it's leaning hard toward the bone stock category.

    That's my two cents but you got it for free. You won't lose any money if you ignore it.

    ya it its a daily driver, i wouldnt go crazy performance either just cause this is not my ideal platform anyways, but im not against maybe just i/h/e and looks
