Nice struggle, can you show me how you got the wheel on. all the adapters I've seen wont work for me because of the cruise configuration

Re: New steering wheel and shift knob

    I used a Tekniq hub -part# 524.279.2
It said it was for 88/89 accords with cruise control, but I still had to modify it a little. I had to grind down the inside of the lip because it fit so snug you could barely turn the wheel. I also had to drill the two holes larger for the alignment dowels for the plastic part that rotates for the horn.

I used an oem 2g accord shift boot to go with it. It's an exact fit for our console, unlike the civic ones which are a bit narrower.

That looks awesome! I'm not usually a fan of customizations, but that is sweet. Very elegant and understated. I love it!

So I take it that with that wheel adapter, there's no way to keep your cruise button functionality?

Re: New steering wheel and shift knob

You could, but you'd have to figure out a way to route the wires on your steering wheel and mount the switch. Probably the best thing would be to get one of those F-1 "plate" style horns (like this) that bolt over the wheel and then drill holes in it and mount little momentary button switches for the cruise wires.

You do realize that by asking that now I'm going to tell you about the whole system, right?

The tweeters are 1" Image Dynamics silk domes. I'm using mids from an old JBL gti 504 component set (remember those?). I have a OLD Pioneer Premier P1 deck that I'm using for the active crossovers and time alignment, since the tweeters are mounted pretty far away from the mids. 5k @18db/oct seems to work very well for this mid/tweet combo. Bi-amping them with an Eclipse PA5422. Oh, and I have a Basslink mounted in the corner of the trunk.

I was kind of going for an SQ, lightweight system. The Basslink I remove for autocross, as well as the amp since it's mounted to the backseat which comes out anyway.

It's a Personal and the model is Blitz. 350mm.

I like how the 3 and 9 o'clock spokes sort of droop, so my hands are close to the same hieght that they were on the stock wheel.
