okay so i picked up this accord for 250 bucks....and it def needs some help. My idle is way to high, i have backed the idle screw up, but nothing happens. SO due to the high idle it slams gears coming out of park. afraid of ripping the trans into pieces now. Are ALL of these vaccum lines nessacary on this thing? I mean i think that the space shuttles have less lines on them?

Are you adjusting the correct screw? The idle screw is on the back of the carb and is more of a thumbscrew than a real screw.

check out the de vac threads! you can get rid of just about every vaccum line with some work
