haha only cus the oil is spilling onto the tires so they spin

i can light the tires up in my civic too, 1-2 2-3 chirping and shit, but that's cus it's so freakin light with that d motor... only pushing like maybe 110hp to the wheels.

Well... Remember i went all the way down to LA to get a used VSS from the junkyard and over pay for it?.... well now that vss went out yay

it seems like every time i try to work on a car and make it better it shits on me.. every time i fix one thing another thing breaks and now theres so many broken things i cant even think about fixing maybe its time to give up modding/working on cars for now and just buy cheap shitty cars and drive them until they die without getting attached to them...

That's what you need to do for a while. Get a sack of crap that you don't want to mod and either save up for a car you do want to mod or fix that car "to-be-modded" little by little. Having a modded DD isn't always the cheapest route.

Try to find something cheap and semi-reliable. First and second gen escorts are cheap as hell, there are tons of them in junkyards, they are decent looking and share lots of the same parts that 323s and Proteges do. If I was going to get a beater, it would be a Gen 2 Escort Coupe or Wagon. Easy to fix and parts are cheap. They are really simple cars. Another good option is any Saturn S-Series. They never really changed anything mechanical for the 12 year span of their lives. SOHC and DOHC were the only options in engines, all have PS, PB and A/C. A good place to start. Good luck with what you have now.

yeah i allways have a saturn sl2 in the back of my mind when i think reliable dd.. the escorts are good cars too my parrents had a 90 gt after there 3g hatch got totaled and it was a pretty good car but they spent alot of useless money on it taking to mechanics trying to fix a surgeing problem which ended up just being a ground lol(pwnt?lol)

but yeah thats exactly what im thinking cheap mostly reliable car that can get me around town and to work and back so i can save up and move out of my parrents place (cant take it anymore they fight way to much and next week my whole family includeing me is moving in to my grandmas place.. really fun... not lol)

if parrents do move up north in december like they plan to then ill be able to get my old civic back but that wont be really reliable but atleast with a little bit of money it would get me around town so i can save up a bit longer and get something decent

The good news is that yeah, your car is pissing oil, but that doesn't make it entirely unreliable. I didn't change the oil in my Prelude, I changed the filter. It went though oil way faster than a couple quarts every 3000 miles, but damned if it didn't start up and go whenever I needed it to. At some point you just have to recognize you have an old-ass car that works, and it isn't really worth fixing. I think you should stick with the CB and drive it until the wheels fall off. If the engine explodes no big deal, you're not out much. The more work you put into it will just make it suck harder when it does eventually die/you get rid of it. If you treat it like shit and don't care, it'll still do whatever you need it to and you won't have a ton of time and money in it.

I hope you figure something out though, it's really cool that you care so much about whatever you're driving and really want to make it better, no matter what it is.

cah, my sedan isn't heavier than your coupe or your hatch, with the rear gutted like mine is and no ac it wieghs about the same as your hatch, maybe 50lbs different... plus i just took off my heavy front cross member for a traction bar. plus the sedan is only 100lbs heavier to begin with, it's 2200 in stock trim for the dx...

oh and as for engines mine isn't a b2... it's a b7 rebuilt bottom end with a z6 head, intake, header, exhaust, no cat... it's decent.

I don't think getting a shittier car that you "won't get attached to" is the answer. Get attached, get a job, and get wrenching... I've been attached to every car that was ever mine or in my immediate family and i drove.

Miss my 3g (although it won AOM without me as the owner so that's cool lol)
    miss my rex (rip)
miss my wife's eg hatch (no idea, sold it)

and now i'm on the 08 Fit and the 90 DX Sedan. Love them both, haven't done much to the fit, only wheels and an aux audio jack but i still like it.

Really with money these cars aren't annoying it's just time consuming. They're definitely worth it in the end... i use something like "oh it's pissing oil, may as well H it now..."

yeah i know it doesent make it unrelible tho no speedo sucks ass haha but yes it will be drivin until the death with only oil and gas money and i need 2 tires so yeah other then that no money will go in to it i can still see it lasting another 50k miles easily with out putting any money in to her .. unless that knock gets worse then um not to long haha

i know my coupe is alot fatter LOL but i was refering to the hatchie... and yeah i didnt know u had all that done to it... i still think my civic had problems i know the valve glides were worn and the rings had seen better days lol

yeah good point.. im honesty just getting kinda tired of spending the time working on them all the time... maybe its cause all i do is work on them and go online and once i get a life ill be able to enjoy it more

but yeah a job will be on the way and possibly another cheap beater from a junkyard that runs as i will need something to drive if my parrents are still driving the accord lol

if the vss in rc is no good ill hit ya up on that

parrents want to put a new engine in it in april most likely will be going with an H23 notec
    http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30030
pretty good price 160hp 156tq supposed to have badass tourqe power band
and most likely will use the F22a4 ecu which im told will work but wont get full proformance out of it until i get a lude ecu (around $40 on ebay but will wait until i get everything else sorted out)

just hope this engine lasts that long!

eah just checked and it's like 200 more... you could also get an f20b but you'd have to deal with some things like the dizzy and a few other issues... just think it would be sicker ya know? lol...

Re: CAH:1991 Honda Accord EX Coupe

ive heard about the f20b being harder to get parts for since it was never sold here... i like how they say the h23 is a really tourqey engine and i do love tourqes also its a daily so it doesn't need to make a ton of power just that the h23 is not to much more then a f22 and has 30 more hp so seems like its the perfect match
