    Louvers or no louvers?

Just messing around with my '88 Hatch this afternoon before I start ripping the engine and trans out. Threw the '89 LXi wheels on and the rear louvers I got at Pull-A-Part a while back.

What do you think, louvers or no louvers? I can't decide.

Obviously still lots of work to do to get this thing looking remotely respectable. Don't even have the right lug nuts for the wheels so the center caps won't fit. LOL The car has been lightly hit in the right front, the right font fender is a cheap aftermarket replacement that doesn't fit quite right, so the door ended up getting caught on it at some point and wrinkling the door and fender at the seam there. Structurally, if there was any damage, I can't tell it, and the carfax is clean. I have another door and fender that will go on soon. I also am going to put an '88-'89 4 door style front bumper cover on, and probably the rear as well. The hood and left front fender will be replaced as well as both are dented up. Car will either be repainted black or back the original light blue, haven't decided on that yet either. Interior is dark blue and in great shape, just needs a thorough cleaning. All in all I guess it's not too bad considering the odometer stopped at 325,965 a few years ago. Just needs a new speedometer cable to fix that.

I'm going to hold onto them even if I don't use them. Seem to be pretty hard to find. Plus way too much hassle to ship something that big.

Car will definitely be cleaned up, lowered, repainted, all that good stuff. Haven't even decided if I'm going to run these wheels or not, just messing around right now. Main focus right now is getting it mechanically sound, tagged and back on the road.

Have you seen my 'new' coupe? You'd change that sentence in a heartbeat.

Dumped means lowered/slammed, right? If so, then cleaned/dumped+louvers.

Do you need shade or is this purely an aesthetic exercise?
