I said this before in either this thread or last May's DC thread, but the VA/NC border is almost exactly halfway (in terms of distance, at least) between the top of Maine and the bottom of Florida. I've never driven north of New York City so I don't know if it takes longer to get around in the Adirondacks or what, but Myrtle is technically farther south.
That said, I'm still down for anywhere, I'll be driving a lot less than a lot of you guys.

My buddy made the trip out for a day, form the middle of ga went up there, went up and down a few times and got back before like 9 so it cant be too far if we are already in NC. haha... just sayin... and hopefully ill have tires by then....

Norfolk has quite a few cheapish hotels, and its about 22 miles west from virginia beach. This will be my vacation for the year so id be willing to spend 4-500 dollars or so, but i assume id be in the minority. Can you add a poll to it Dennis?
