    Side mirrors off an Expedition

    hey, I found a pair of expedition mirrors
    with the signal light that i might buy
    and I wana know if I can take the mirror
    out and cut it to replace mines and hook
    up the signal light to my car?

    That would be really cool. He's talking about the side mirrors that have lights built into them that blink with your blinkers. I would like to see that.

    I think it would be hard to cut the glass down and im sure it may cut into the blinker part which may affect the lighting curcuit depending on how it is connected.....I think it would be hard and require a proffessional glass cutter...

    luis, I gotta agree with Rob on that one! That's not gonna be easy. I remeber when we were talking at the meet, you also wanted the M3 style side mirrors. Take a look at after market civic mirrors, and also the Plymouth Breeze/Dodge Stratus mirrors. Or even the older celica's and you might find what you're looking for. I do know however that the civic one's can be had with that little turn cignal built already into it.

    I do plan on getting M3 style mirrors with the blinkers built into them but im not at that stage yet so i have not looked at to many cars. But fiberglass would probably be the easiest to modify. but im gonna find the closest fit so i dont have to modify it a lot.
