    A Texan

    Hello,

My name is Joe and I'm from the westernmost part of Texas (obvious location being El Paso)

I bought my 1988 Honda Accord LXi in 2005 for 500$ cash with 175k miles on it. It was just sitting in all alone in the drive way, hadn't been driven for 4 years. Put fluids in it, air in the tires, and started up on the first shot. Amazing. When I first got it, I read through this forum thoroughly and gave me quite a bit of help, only recently did I decide to register and talk, instead of lurk. Have had the car since and have no plans in getting rid of it; the damn thing is going to have to blow up completely for me to let go.

About the car. As I said its a 1988 LXi, has a sunroof (I think its from the dealership, has a bunch of GM labels everywhere), a suitcase rack, and the coveted black/tan interior. I have the original Honda EQ if anyone wants it. I have/had the arm rest but it cracked from the main console and for now its just there.

I enjoy working on the car (sometimes, depending on what it is) but am no expert. I know a few basic things.

Anyhow, enough rambling. If anyone wants some pics, I'll put some up.

    Good to meet everyone here!

    Welcome.
Sounds like a definite keeper, any other plans for the car or just using for a daily driver.
Post up pics when you get a chance, we love pics on this forum

Welcome! These cars are like that. Just impossible to kill 'em. Woohoo!
