    Rebuild or New motor?

    Hi im new to 3geez, and i love mine. Except i got a bad rod knock, and something really bad happened. Im just looking to swap it for a new one in the junkyard, they want 300 for a whole parts car.

    I was just wondering what will i have to do to swap a A20a1 to a A20a3?
    Is the fuel flow the same?
    let me know.

    A quick search would have turned up that the a20a1 is the carbed version of the a20a3. Search next time.

    Yes i know that...

    But can I straight swap a carb'd motor for an efi? Will I need any other parts from the lxi? (eg. fuel pump, ecu,)

    Re: Rebuild or New motor?

    Are you swapping the fuel injection with it? If you are, you'll need about half of the car, if not, swap the manifolds. Nothing magic here. Again, search would have answered this in about 30 seconds.

    So are you swapping to EFI in your LX? If so, there's a how-to for that.
