When I go buy parts I have to explain that this 1.8 is in a 1988 Accord. Can anyone tell from this number on the block any information . Was it originally in a Prelude or a leftover? The ID is as follows: 1083313.
The intake reads PH1HF-88525TS.
The carb reads 2KT204-2

The carbs and intakes do not interchange between the A18 and A20. However the cylinder heads do. If you have an Accord cylinder head, it will be a dead giveaway, because you will have a single, downdraft carb or Fuel Injection. The A18 has dual sidedraft carbs. And the air cleaner says like CV Dual Carb on it or something like that. The Accord's intake ports are oval and evenly spaced, while the A18 has round intake ports and the center ones are squished next to eachother like ---> O OO O
If you've got the Accord cylinder head, then it's pretty much not going to matter when you go into the parts store. The only difference between the A18 and A20 bottom end is the cylinder bore. So unless you're buying bottom end engine parts, don't confuse them by telling them it's a 1.8. It's hard enough getting the right parts for these cars!
This is all assuming you're in the US and not Canada or any other country.

Were the intake meets the head the openings are oval and evenly spaced. I guess that means since I have a single carb instead of sidedraft that most likely its an Accord Intake and carb. Just removed carb from intake and cleaning up the intake before installed back on block.

so could you take the a18 head and put it on the a20 and raise the c/r like on the b or h on f series
You could... but then you'd have to run dual carbs.
