A annoying noise & BeeTec Coilovers

I am running sprint and tokico's on my car and every time i go over a bump you can actually hear the spring bouncing a round in the back, since the strut has stock travel, put no more spring, i was wondering if there was a solution to this problem, without rasising the car, it appears to happen on everyones cars that i know that are lowered.

My solution BeeTec coilovers, now here are my q's about them, where can i get em, do they still make em, i saw them on 89sei's car and he had a set for sale if he would like to contact me though this post be my guest, ill more than likely buy them, since it appears the CF hood buy is having delays, but thats another story all together. As for the coilovers any information you could provide would be great. thanks

Seems like Bec-tec has disappeared since no one can find them or the guy who made them. The ones Mike (89SEI) had for sale are gone. He sold the whole car with them still on the car. As for the problem you have right now, you might want to invest in Koni's or Bilsteins.

do they make that noise that i speak of, do you know what im talking about its more of a jiggling noise, a kinda of flat sounding klank due to the spring being too low for the shock/car

You do not want Bec-Tech's. They are nothing more that a guy in his garage that hack's apart stock struts into shortened unit's. They cannot handle the stress and are known for blowing in a hurry. Plus since they are valved the same as stock they are not going to be a improvement over how you tokico's were when brand new. Doris and the Texan are both moderator's at automotive forums, they know all about the bec-tech's and will tell you the same thing as me.

Invest in koni's for your car, don't mess with the Bilsteins unless you have them revalved. Once they are revalved, the Bilsteins are better than the Koni's, for a price.

As far as the sounds your hearing, we have several members that are running sprint springs and no one has reported hearing what your talking about. So I can't say it's cause of running standard length struts in a lowered car. So what I'm wondering is this, are your bump stops whole or did you cut them? Did you install the plastic wraps off your old rear springs onto your new one's. Their are I think 4 of these plastic wraps, they prevent the lower coil's from making noise in everyday normal driving. And something else that comes to mind, if your rear struts are blown, they will be letting the spring move around way more than they should. In any event if it was me I'd pull both spring/strut assemblies and move the left and right rear suspension around by hand to rule out something other than the springs/struts.

If you will only be satisfied with shorter struts I know koni can shorten them, cost's $65 per sturt. But I'm not sure if when I talked to them is they could just shorten the fronts or the rears as well. I'm going to call koni's right now and ask, plus I'm going to find out some other possible options that might benefit you and other's.

[edit] oh well Koni is closed for the day I just can't seam to be able to get threw to them either they are closed or the guy I need to talk to is busy grrrrrrr.
