    Started my wire tuck, sort of

    Well, this isnt your typical wire tuck, im just trying to solve some issues with my electrical system and decided to clean up some wiring mess. I pretty much had the whole harness rebuilt from scratch.

    I cant do full tuck unless I start drilling random holes to run my wires to the inner fenders. Plus there isnt much I can do unless I move my battery to the trunk, which is something I'm considering someday since I'm really short on cash at the moment.

    Dont expect too much from this as the main goal for this is to fix my electrical issues.

    You cant see much here but theres 3424324 wires underneath the washer reservoir

    I moved the stock wires running across the firewall to the front, underneath the radiator




    My new horn location


    Tucked the headlight wires, and fuses for relays for my headlights, high beams, fogs, horn, fans and AC compressor




    I didnt have pics, but I found out that the A/C subharness for the cooling fans doesnt have any fuse for them. And to make things better they decided to use tiny gauge wire for the ground, which ran from the fans to the relay located near the pass side shock tower, while the positive wire is in normal size (12 gauge maybe, I'm not sure but its pretty thick) for 2 fans running roughly at 30A. I'm pretty sure the harness is stock.

    right on man. looks good so far. i did a full tuck with a battery relocation. it takes time and a crapload of patience. but worth it in the end.

    PS2: I just purchased ALL the remaining OEM 1st gen Accord parts from the Honda dealer in Paraguay, 5k dollars in original new parts at cost price, 1800 items, so i believe i have enough to keep my 79 (and 3 or 4 more) on the road for a long time

    What are the extra fuses on top row for? I have 1 on the left side for radio and 4 on the right side for headlights/high beams.

    BTW I wired my sidemarker to turn on with parking lights while retaining my blinker (y)

    You mean the spare fuses?? I can post closer pictures of them, i have 1 55AH main fuse, 1 15AH fuse and 1 10AH fuse for spare in the new fuseboxes.

    lol I did and its a daily driver.

    I can say its done for now, I still need to repaint the bay and parts and pieces. And to clean up the slight mess near the battery terminal. Will do those next time since I need the car today lol. Its taking way longer than it should, thanks to my OCD with keeping all my wires neatly organized.







    Hope I can move my battery to the trunk next time

    And I had my battery light coming up at high rpms. That freaks me out at first thinking I might have wired something wrong and fried something up. After 3 hours of fiddling, I found out that I have one bad ground and its freaking the whole electrical system lol

    Nice work!
    Adding a few relays to ensure lights & starter get full battery power un-diverted through dash switches can't be a bad thing.
    Honda's welded-in & rust prone Battery tray certainly can be improved upon too.
    I always wanted to make a cover for the right frame rail harness to avoid the harness work there.

    Yes, the torque rod is adjustable.
    The ignition coil is located there from factory, mine has it there also.

    Adding the starter relay is a great thing to avoid problems with the ignition switch.

    I would also buy the exact rust-free match for my car (Same year/color,etc.) that's sitting in a junkyard less than 20 miles from me!
