    Need Help Finding Swap Kit

I want to replace the engine in my 86 Accord LX as economically as possible. I've found a mechanic that will do the swap for free, but I can't seem to find a swap kit.

I'd like to get a low-mileage JDM pull-out, and I've got about a grand to spend. I think it has an A20A in it (2.0 L, carbed, SOHC), but a JDM B20A swap kit would be real sweet.

If anyone could give the heads-up on where I can pick up either of these engines & parts I would greatly appreciate it, and my 3G would too!

Like that sticky says - READ THE FAQ's!!!! Also, read the other posts; this subject has been killed to death.

For the short, cause I got time: You need to convert to EFI, unless your going to go with multiport weber carbs.

For the B20 from the JDM Accords, cost is about $800 at tops, if you can actually find one. It drops into your Accord using most the original mount, just make sure you have the rear JDM mount.

As far as electrical for EFI, you need the cabin harness for an LXi, you need to route a return fuel line, etc. Then you need an ECU that will work with the B20, if you don't get it's ECU. I know of someone who used an 88-91 Prelude ECU, and only had to do minimal rewiring.

Advice: sell your Accord, find a nice LXi, and do the swap into it. You wanna do mods on the motor later? Save another $2000 on top of your $1000 and do the B16 swap; place racing makes the whole kit, and you will be able to retain power steering and A/C.

    Have fun!
