    h20 or k20

I want to swap a more powerful engine into my 87 4dr accord. What would be the easiest swap and still have a lot of power. I have been looking at the h22 for awhile now but is it possible. What about the k series would that even fit into a 1987 honda accord?

Anything will fit, you just have to make it. But your going to be looking at an insane amount of fabrication for either of these motors.

lol, if you dont even know the engine number... im guessing the swap will never get done.

H22's have been done takes money custom mounts custom work
B egines now have mounts but you still need axles wireing harneses etc etc
and no K swap has ever been done on a 3gee, again you would need custom mounts, axels wireing etc etc etc

Have you ever worked on your car before? I've also never heard of an "H20".

If you had even bothered to look around the site, you would know that the easiest swap would be the rare as hell JDM B20A, which is a bolt in, followed by a B-series swap using mounts from Innovative, which are now available.

You would also know that you can in fact MODIFY your existing engine for more power. Thanks for the pointless random question though.

Maybe he means the H2O engine. The one powered by water. That's a bolt in engine and makes 500iHP @ 25,000iRPM and uses no gas. And it's zero emissions.

    Re: h20 or k20

well ok, i have heard of A20, B20, F20 AND K20 BUT NEVER H20, lol that's something i would tell a ricer after i pwned him/her. for example
ricer - dam dude your fast
me - not really and so what if i'm fast?
ricer - sorry about that what kind of engine do you have in there?
me - i got a h20a2 engine and it has water injection and i get 80 mpg.
ricer - dam i need to get one
    (ricer drives away)
(i pull over and get out car)
me - man what a dumb ricer (starts laughing for 10 minutes straight)

    THE END

anyways no disrespect but if you want more power buy a civic or get ready to spend a lot of hours on this forums and get really to open up your checkbook cause you are going to need it

    Re: h20 or k20

Ok so its going to cost a lot of money. What would be the most cost effective with descent power. Is there a big difference between the h22 and the k20 like power or anything. I have a carb a20 engine. Would that be worth modifying instead of a swap?

    Re: h20 or k20

you will never get the power out of the A20 that the K can put down (not that you cant it just wont happen) will take a REALLY BA n/a build or a turbo build, your carbed now so youd have to FI swap for just about anything so even to swap to a H or k youd have to change your fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump etc etc

so is it worth it to mod the A20? thats up to you... you cna make it faster then it is... but i dont see it ever makeing the power of a k... then again i doubt you will ever swap a k or H since your asking these type of questions...
