    Pacific Coast Big Meet Event.

It's been tossed around for a while on different threads, so it may be time to create a new thread just for this.

There are a lot of folks in SoCal and a lot of folks in Washington, and I was thinking a pretty central location for all of us to meet is Medford, Oregon.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    3Geez West Coast Meet

    WHEN: July 16th - 18th.
WHERE: Medford, Oregon... Champion Raceway Friday, Saturday T.B.D.
TIME: If we race Friday, gates open at 5PM, then Saturday we can meet after everyone has a bloody-mary or so.

BRING: A fully charged digital camera, a couple bucks for racing Friday night ($25 to race or $10 to watch), motel money, burger funds (We got cheap fast food(comparitivly) around here), and at least $17 for the slick-kart/arcade Saturday.

    WHO:
I'll host if it's Medford. That's all I'm familiar with.
    Host: Bass Man

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know Medford very well, beings I'm only 15 minutes away, but there is a nice Slick-Kart track AND arcade. They have a rock-wall, a cafe, and lots of arcade games. It's not very hard to get to, but kinda hard to find (BRING DIRECTIONS... And spare directions. lol). I don't know what they charge because it's been about 7 years since I was there last, but I remember it was pretty cool. The biggest name in Suzuki aftermarket parts is right next door and I visit often, so I wont get us lost... lol

Friday night, there are legal "Street" drags at the Champion Raceway. It's $25 for the night for racers, and $10 per adult to spectate (kids under 10 are free). Test and Tune starts at 5PM, RACING starts at 6PM. If you are good enough and there are enough people that night, you might expect to be there till 11. There are lots of bars, lots of clubs, and even 2 18+ clubs in town, and since I'll be 20 next summer, I wont attend any drinking, but I am know for being the best taxi at my parents parties (New Years is CRAZY! My parents know how to party.)

The weekend and week AFTER July 4th, I will be at the Rubicon, so if we can do something after, it would be great. Before the 4th, I might be busy with 4x4 rigs, but I'll swing in a Meet.

1-18 Update: We are still debating on what to do Saturday.

Oh and If it could go any farther south I would vote in the poll, but i'll just let everyone whos closer decide where to meet. Any farther north though would put alot of so-cal people out of the question.

If we can show everyone on the east coast how to organize a huge meet with the whole west coast that would be pretty sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

its 15+ hours for me n im still going to drive the ol' gal up there...

think about how nice the weather will be

like i said though ill leave the decision up to everyone who is closer ultimately.. its easier to relocate one person (me) than it is to relocate a bunch of you guys

It's exactly 6 hours and 35 minutes from Seattle (around 5 if you drive like me) and it's exactly 6 hours and 26 minutes from San Jose. I was just guessing earlier, but that is pretty damn close to the middle of the members.

When I was about 7 or 8, Brotherton was doing a lot of work in Spokane and my dad was the Semi driver at the time, so we would go I-5 till somewhere (don't really remember) and shoot over to the Dalles, then north. That looks like the long (and cold) way to go.

That sure is a long way to go on a Turbo. Why don't you help Charlie with gas and ride with him?? LOL

And from portland to medford is 4hr and 35min. so bout the same time.

1055 miles each way?! You're crazy!! lol

This wouldn't be the next meet, but it can be the big meet of the year.

I could probably make a Portland meet sometime soon. Where was the Dyno at?? I'd like to make it to one of those.

Only way I'm driving to Medford, is if someone from San Fransisco commits to coming up.

What the hell is in Medford anyways? Isn't it like a small backwoods town or something?

Unfortunately, yes... There was a Meth problem, but they got most of it under control. Heroine is the new thing these days. MUCH better...

Like I mentioned in this thread and the pic thread, there are Legal "Street drags" on Friday nights, and there is a Slick-Kart track and arcade. I don't know if there is anything like that within 300 miles, so this is a good spot for a WHOLE west coast meet.

Well we got meth here too. It explains why my CDs got stolen in the age of torrents and iPods. I'm not in the position to commit to the meet, but if I could I would.

It'll take me quite a while to get the money to go, but if my gf and i can save up enough money for next year's recreation fund, I'm down for it

Yea, I got wicked skills in the auto area, so if anything happens to "break", more than likely we can get it running.

    I bought a complete 88 A3 motor for $400 with 108k on it.
I also got access to a complete fab shop, so most custom stuff is fixable.

I did a trip that distance a few days after the Portland meet. On paper it seemed easy but five months later I still have no urge to do it again. Had to drive the entire distance back cuz the [ex] gf was sleeping off a hangover the entire time. Warped rotors + freeway speed + 9 hours = FML
