they have used the F from 90-what 03? lol just saying, and actully theres a F22b2 (non vtec) thats holding 23psi daily for the past 6 months, thats damn good it was done as a joke to blow it but it hasnt went yet

and yes im a F owner but i also owned A's and i loved the motor but the F is a damn good replacement (faster stock aswell ;-) )

I know what im talking bout LOL. I owned a F22 cb7 at one time. Nice motors and very reliable.......After a good 2 years it started smoking and loosing massive oil. so i just sold it.

They replaced the A with a F because as years go by you have to redesign things. Why would you put a A series in a 95 accord. LOL you get me. So they would have to replace it with something newer and better. For MPG reasons. And SMog.

So either way there good. But i beat em regradless....But i think my motor taking a toll after all the races ive done.
IF the botom end is built they wont blow

Re: Just a little update on the LX-i

LOL......I knew i would get you both guys to attack me. Well put it this way. When i was n/a i smoked a 92 cb7 with i/h/e and all i had was a intake and exhuast i beat him by 2 cars. Not saying a F series is totaly garbage but I owned and never liked em. They feel gutless. Unless you have them built and boosted. I was tie with one from launch to end of the 1/4 SO no for a fact there not faster then a A. IF so the driver is pretty stupid LOL.

Look there good motors an so are As. But you can Do the Cheap route and boost the A and run 15 psi all day long and wont blow. So there ways around the bush without OBD1......

O COME ON CAH....hands down. Hell no son.

Hands down there both good engines. doesnt matter of the newer technology. Its all how you build the motor and comp ratio, and boost, tunning...exc.

1,200 and push 400whp PFFFFFFF hell no...my buddy dumped bout 2 gs in his vatura build and barely pushing 300. Tuned. CAH stop trying to make me look dum. LOL not gonna happen son.

Why whould you say that H,K well alwasy be faster LOL. you hang around cb7 tunner to much cah. Time to lay off the crack.

LOL im just giving you guys alot of shit but some of the stuff you guys says is funny as hell. Like im stupid or some shit....

Its all how you build and tune. and thats all she wrote.

Yep!! They are 2.0L, and VERY capable of pulling some increadible numbers. I'm sure if I had ITB's on my car how it is, I could touch 150hp and probably get in the 14's on the track.

oh and one day i will have no traction either lol can be a part of the club then? haha

and yeah CAH i know it will be very expensive but damn dont you guys just love the idea of beating all the ricer civics and integras. yes i know i just bought a B16 integra if youve seen my other thread youll know but i just want a reliable daily so that i can park my accord and put in some real hours. my honda has always been my daily and i cant work on a car when i also have to rely on it to take me to the autozone to pick up parts for it while its being worked on lmao. but yeah man i just want to make people shit their pants when they see an old ass accord smashing on their civics.

and shyboy is your car a coupe? if it is does it have a tan interior? because if it does then we would have twins once i get the 5 speed swap done.
lol man i wish i had a coupe but i have a sedan and same color inside but painted console black and gonna swap lower dash to dark grey and swap a 1992 accord driver seat with armrest one seat

It's sitting just like the last picture on my thread...

We went wheeling Sunday and my dad broke a rear axle, so I am in the middle of fixing that so he can go this weekend. I gotta take both axles out so I can get the differencial out so I can get the chunk of spline still in the side gear, that and I gotta get the big chunks floating in the oil.
I'll be done with that tomorrow, though.

On a happy note, I got my green sedan back together and off the jack-stand, so now I can wheel it in the garage and start stripping it.

damn man. bummer. sounds like alot of work but soo much fun. my sister totalled our only 4x4 ever about 2 years ago now. we had a 02 chevy silverado 2500 with a 3 inch lift and 33 inch tires. nothing special but was so much fun in the mud.

Re: Just a little update on the LX-i

Oh damn guys soooooooooooooooooo the Rota J-mags ive been ranting on about for sooo long have finally gotten here. Unfortunately when i put my down the $300.00 originally I had the other $560.00 i was going to owe. Right now im at $0 after buying the Teg. Included in that price are a set of 205/40/16 Toyo Tires so dont think i got ripped off on the wheels guys.

Either way the guy from the VRS (where i bought them) is cool with waiting for a little while since I did actually wait for the rims to be delivered since 9/12/2009. So i let him know that i have no job and no cash and that ill be paying as soon as i get a job.

The rims are so freaking sexy its not even funny they shine like no other and will look facking sexy on my car. ugh i cant wait! lol ill keep yo guys posted.

Oh and about the car well its still sitting at my mechanics until tomorrow that is. I has a $115 credit at the JY for when i returned the steelies (shown in previous pics) im going to be using that for when I go tomorrow to grab a few pieces to do the 5 speed swap. I already know that its going to cost $150 for all the parts is what I was quoted.

So does anyone know what I should pic up as far as parts for the swap first?

Re: Just a little update on the LX-i

alright well i really need to get my car back on the road considering its still insured, was my daily, and has plates until oct/1010.

So i went to the JY today and started looking at some accords... theres atleast 20+ accords there. i was searching for the right cars to source my tranny parts from but damn was i overwhelmed. i really dont look forward to the 5 speed swap anymore considering i really dont know which parts i really need and in what order i need to do it. i looked at some threads on 5 speed swaps and it seems that everyone already has an idea of what theyre doing and leave certain things out.

I know this is very noobish of me but i seriously have no idea where to even start. like i said i looked at the how to's but didnt quite understand them because i dont know part names yet.

    here are my questions:

=what would be the first thing I do to make my life easier and maake the task less overwhelming?
=should i pull the motor or just drop the tranny out from under?
=what tools will i need besides a 12,14,15mm wrenches? oh and a 32mm for the axle also right?
=i am getting a carbed tranny and I have an 89 is it true that i can only use 88,89 trannys?
    =can it be done alone?
=1 jack or 2 jacks? and where exactly to place them.
=can somone recommend a certain order in which to pull the tranny out of the parts car?

    thanks in advanced guys.....

=i am getting a carbed tranny and I have an 89 is it true that i can only use 88,89 trannys? I got an 87 bolted to an 88 motor, so I think you can get away with it. The carbed trannies have longer gears, so you should find an LX-i tranny so you don't wish you would have later. Unless you do turbo.
=can it be done alone? Depends. I do everything by myself, but I usually have the right tools (or replica's... heh)
=1 jack or 2 jacks? and where exactly to place them. 1 at least. You really do need an engine hoist.
=can somone recommend a certain order in which to pull the tranny out of the parts car? Everything on this car is meant to come apart as quick as possible, so before getting frustrated in 1 spot, think of how the stealership would do it. The battery tray is kinda in the way of the harness, and the battery is in the way of the tray...

    thanks in advanced guys.....

Re: Just a little update on the LX-i

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MOAR WORK AND GOODIES... READ UP!

So i dropped the tranny out of the accord just yesterday. im a noob it took the entire day. lmao.

Thats where the car sits until i leave in a few minutes to start dropping a tranny out of a junkyard car. Will be getting the pedal assembly, shift linkage, no gauges (I want to know my origiinal mileage), clutch cable, rear tranny mount, and I already have the ECU. Does anyone know if i'm missing something else that I need?

And also heres some goodies that I grabbed today finally Ive been waiting for these since the day I ordered them 9/12/2009. They got in a couple days before Christmas but I was out of cash to pay the remaining $560 and sold my 87 teggy for $800 to be able to pay for them.

Anyways guys here they are in the back of my DA hatch. There Rota J Mags 16"ers with Toyo proxes 205/40/16's payed a grand total of $940 with the extended studs and purple lug nuts. aghh theyre so nice.

I also have my JDM Duck Bill spoiler that I purchased from (itzdave) that is waiting to be installed. Ive been waiting for all these pieces to come together and now they will within the next couple days. heres some pics of the spoiler.
