    Just about a 1989 5 speed

I just bought a 1989 Honda Accord LX for $100 last night. I have a freind that is pregnant and has to move back to Alabama with her family, and couldn't take the car with her. She was gonna give it to me, but I wanted to help her so I gave her what I had to help out (I really wanted to help some how). Now I'm stuck with three cars. 2008 Honda Fit, 1993 Mustang LX 2.3L and the Accord. The Accord has all power options and lots more luxery than my Mustang. The thing has 190,000 miles on it and needs a clutch, brake master cylinder, upper ball joint on the left front and half shaft on front right. Bleh. Paint is faded and has normal Honda rust above the rear wheels.

I wish it was fuel injected rather than carbed. Guess I need to decide to keep it or sell it. Maybe you guys can convince me to keep it.

Sell the mustang or do a V8 swap in it. You can always do a fuel injection swap into your 3g like I did. Or if you want to drive it down to the AR/MO border I'll give you $150

I bought the Mustang to drive to work because I'm gonna end up with 200k miles before I even pay off the Fit. But the gas mileage sucks and it cost me double what the Fit cost to drive in a week.

Clutch and master cylinder are preventing driving it down there, otherwise I would. The 3g is way more comfy than the Mustang, so I'm leaning towards selling the Mustang and fixing the 3g. But the Mustang only has 104k miles on it, where as my 3g has 190k. But Honda engines are good for like 270k, so it's a tough choice.

If you want a realiable car use the honda and mustangs suck period not a mustang guy but like the older mustangs problem I have with mustangs that they break down more than any car I bet the accord would last longer then the mustang and the accord would be a big gas saver to go to work and I pump 28 bucks for a full tank of gas and it wil last almost 3 weeks and a week and 4 days if I go out a lot you can use the accord for work and the fit for going out and the mustang you can sell it cause it won't last long and its not a gas saver and think about it this way you'll have a bit more money for yourself to spend on the car or help out pay bills

KEEP THE ACCORD!!! those little issues u said need to be fixed are SUPER cheap, and these cars are easier than easy to work on(maybe cuz ive had two of them and touched every bolt so many times...)

if ya have any carb issues, or if ya just wanna make it faster, i recommend a weber carb upgrade. its super easy, costs a few hundred (new, that is. but used shouldnt be hard to find) it makes all the difference in the world and ya can get rid of all those hideous vaccuum lines too, lol.
take some pix, and welcome to 3GEEZ!

I love the way the CA5 chassis Accords look. I tried to buy it (before all these issues) like a year ago. lol A JDM B20A fuel injection would be sweet, or if I hit the lottery a JDM DOCH VTEC B16A would be epic.

And I'm on a local Mustang forum, and all those guys cars are broke down all the time, so I may ultimately take you're guy's advice.
