    Nio's 89 SE-i Build Thread 89

    December 19th
Okay so here is the breakdown of my 89 Accord SE-i

I was looking for a car to replace my 03 civic EM2, I had been hunting for a few weeks, I found this 89 accord SE-i

and it wasn't running, I bought it for 400$, And towed it home with some friends, 2 days later I had some off time,

check the fuse box first, and found the battery fuse was blown. Spent 4$ put it in, Tried turning her over a few

    times and she finally started.

So here are the pictures of what she looked like the day I got her.

So After that I decided to replace the Alternator which cost 95$ for a new one, took about a hour to get out and

about half a hour to get back in. after 30 minutes of charging the battery and a few attempts She started right up.

    So YEAH! I was happy.

After That, I decided to start some work on the interior of the car. I ripped out the passanger seat, and the back

seat. *in these pictures I don't have The back seat all the way out.* and I'm getting ready to start on the carpet,

cause I want that gone. Then I plan to fix the driver side panel. And I also pulled off rest of the stock intake

manifold, and installed my cheap 80$ SRI system. *don't have pictures yet I'll have some for you guys tomorrow*

    Re: Nio's 89 SE-i Build Thread 89

    December 23rd

with some help I figured out that I need my tires balanced, when I went above 50 she was fine untill I let off the

gas, then she would start to wobble.

So today I got went up to discount tires, they charge 7.50$ a rim, And I sat and watched them. They called me over

half way threw and showed me my front tires, They showed how me that they are from 1999. * I actually laughed*

and then they showed me the inside wall of the tire and it was torn to hell, So in the next 2 weeks I have to get

new tires. As well they also rotated them to the back so I could get a little bit more life out of all my tires.

As well I only had one wiper blade on the car and it snowed today, So I thought it would be good to buy some new

ones. I picked up some Anco blades for 10$ each. I'll be putting those on tomorrow.

I also found some rims I like and I think I might get them when I get the new tires. Can't remember the brand, But

I have a picture I took. If I get them I plan to paint them in matte white.
They are 75$ each. so I like.

Everything I checked, the Rims match our bolt pattern, and They have Falken Road Tires for the rims. I plan on using this car for Auto-X for the most part, But I really want to make her look good too.

    Thanks for the complement guys.

Don't worry I'm going to keep the rims for regular driving, But I plan to use something lighter when I go into the Auto-x, So I'll being buying a extra set or rims for her.

My fuel pump. Which is going out, I have to find a replacement for it soon.

Which is in great condition BTW. *and my light works. *

Also found out I was empty of brake fluid.

And here's a question for you guys...

looks like a mint project car anyways. low brake fluid usually means you have fucked pads that also need replacing

that box is the automatic gearbox controller thing

Okay I'm confused. When you say automatic gearbox controller what do you mean. Cause I have a Standard, Which means that is kinda use less doesn't it?

The black box is for the window control

grey is for the radiator fan control timer

the 2 free male plugs are if you had power door locks they would plug into the relays.

You'll need to flush your brake fluid.
