    Speedometer issue, WTF?

    Hi Guys,

As you may know, I just got a new '87 LXi sedan. Weirdest issue I am having right now is that no matter what my speed is, it reads 10 MPH faster than I am really going (GPS speedometer in my iPhone is correct, I've tried it in my two other cars and they are dead on). What would cause this? What is the fix?

Do you have stock size tires and rims?

Rims, yes they are stock. Tires I don't know about, what size tires were the stock ones?

It should say on the door jam sticker where the tire pressures are also stated.

if its reading 10mph faster all the time, you could take the cover off the gauges, and turn the speedometer needle back 10mph and put it back together

look at your gauges and make sure the seedo is set to exactly 0 not 10. if it is at zero set it below 10

Hey Ted! Congrats again on that 3G

I would also concur with the idea to just "turn" the needle back a little...we were able to do this on my uncle's old Prelude with no ill effects...
