    Where to purchase Alternator brushes?

I'm having trouble finding the brushes for my alternator. I've purchased them in the past - jus the brushes for about $5 - and had to solder them in to the holder myself. You can find some brush assemblys - for about $30....but I can't even find those at the local parts stores.
Anybody have ideas? I imagine many ND alternators use the same basic brush....seems like they should be available....

Any NAPA has them. Here is an 88 LXi Part #http://www.dmauto.com/web/dmauto/Cat...++++/11/11002/

I bought a pair from Majestic (hondaautomotiveparts.com). They were pretty cheap and relatively easy to install.

I got mine from NAPA; I could pull the alternator out of the car by taking out the air filter box (LX-i)
If it ain't broke... I fix it!

My Bad - I'm working on a friends 1990 - 4gee - thought the brushes were the same. Local napa called the dealer who said they are not available in the US. I looked at honda parts unlimited (on-line) and they have them. But most all stores don't show any for the 4gee. I'm sure I can find the right brush and solder it in....
    sorry about that fellas!!!!

The shop I sometimes use told me that they buy their brushes already installed in the holder so they can pull the back off the alternator and replace the brush assembly without removing the alt from the car. Sounds like a good way to go if you can find the assembly. It's not that much more money and I know Majestic sells them.
