My Two Accords!

I recently bought another 1989 Accord LX-i. And, I have photos! My origional Accord I purchased a year ago is the red one.


And it has a pretty minty interior. I have a cassette box in it now.


This is my new one, if you're wondering where you've seen that color before, it's genuine Komatsu forklift paint.


As you see, the interior is THRASHED.


And this is the very extent of the rust. How bad can it be?


This car has no 5th gear and an idle problem, but it's a rust-free-ish LX-i with a sunroof! I plan on combining these cars into one good one. Thanks to finding this very nice shell, I can make my Accord project happen!

I plan to rebuild the engine in the green car, find a new trans, and generally make the green car brand new. the green car will get paint, new suspension, and an interior swap from the red car. I'm going to start ripping things apart once I get a heater for the garage. The red car will be a daily in the meantime. This is gonna take awhile, as the green car is getting the full restoration I planned on giving the red one.

Why the color? The PO painted it. it's just on top of the factory paint, saw it beforehand, it was straight.

Everyone loves the red car! It's all rusted out though, so it's not a good foundation for any project. :p The passenger side floorboard is all mangled as well, from some doofus jacking it up wrong. I plan on doing some work this weekend, so updates are coming up!

After realizing that the blue coupe was originally Seattle Silver, I'm now that much closer to slapping whomever [poorly] painted it that color. By the way, what's a "PO"?

Sorry, I hate acronyms, so I don't keep up with them or use them. Seattle Silver is my favorite color for the Accord, so if someone molests it...
