Standard Complaint Format (suck-up, complain, explain)

Nothing personal against 3Geez or any of its users... This is a great forum with a wealth of information, but here is something I'd like to see:
Could we limit the sizes of avatars and signatures, to make threads easier to read? I know everyone wants to get noticed and express themselves or whatever, but it really kills the flow when someone has a large signature that breaks up the thread, or when a huge avatar skews the posts from side to side. Tags for staff and foundation members are kinda big too, but that doesn't bother me so much. Would it kill us to make this site, dare I say, more like Honda-Tech? Like I said, it would make thread viewing much easier for everyone, especially mobile viewers. Would free up the server and speed things up, too. And it would look professional, and not like some kids BS Forum. Just a suggestion.

Well you can turn off avatars and sigs from the UserCP, right? But I sort of see your point. I've seen a lot of forums ruined by some post whore with stacks of animated gifs after every post. As far as 3Geez goes I don't think it's too out of control (yet).

They just recently set a limit for signature size so people cant use huge pics. And the Avatars max size is 140x140 I believe. IMO 3geez is fine the way it is, I've seen forums with full size photos as sigs.

Word. I've seen worse with full size photos as sigs and avatars. Both avatar and signature size are fine, but I have to agree they are kind of big when viewed on my phone but not really a problem to me. I could turn that off.
