They got them for 240sx's on Need for Speed Underground 2! I think they're pretty neat and possible.

If anything else, here's a free bump.

You'd have to make your own, or do a European sedan conversion. FYI, the aftermarket support for these cars is minimal.

    Re: Costom Headlights

There is a user on here who made his own custom fixed lights that went in place of the flip-ups, using projectors. I don't remember who, though.

I would like to find the projector pieces so I could do flip up projectors.

That would be the best. I like the flip up, I wouldn't want to get rid of that just swap it with projectors and maybe limit the upward travel so it just opens far enough for the projectors so long as it doesn't look too goofy heh.

I like the beam I get out of my Astra. Just a regular halogen projector housing. They are both high and low beam in my car. They should be pretty easy to come by, as they've been used in plenty of other cars.

The headlights don't look bad, but those corners look like they need rotated counter-clockwise a little.

    Something like this:

Well that's just horrid. Headlight conversions never look good, I don't care how nice the bodywork is. There's a reason car designers get paid loads of money.

That grill placement is so crappy, but the idea is cool. im sure the conversion could look a little bit better.

    That's my car.

    Those are the headlights.

BTW, I'm talking about using just the headlight projector out of the housing and using the stock flip housing in our car as intended.

It was incomplete at the time I took a picture of his conversion. That grill is just sitting there loose not connected to anything.

don't forget about Victor (vtechonda) who did a 5G 'Lude headlight graft onto the front of his 3G hatch. Josias (hondaman87) did a 4G Accord headlight conversion on his 3G hatch as well.

Personally, not my cup'o'tea, but to-each-their-own. Whatever you do, make it your own, but do it justice by doing it right.

Like others mentioned too, you could always just do an EDM front end conversion if you wanted to.

thats my plan on the hatch. I want it too look like a super large 2nd gen. I wonder how many people would actually recognize it. The only thing I need to do is save up enough money to buy the swap from aaron. Man thats going to be a while at this rate

Just a word of caution if you're getting the headlights from a RHD country, your light pattern will be wrong and oncoming trafficants won't be too happy. Are you planning on getting the whole swap (fenders, hood and radiator support) or just the lights/corners and modify the original body parts?

    Re: Custom Headlights

it would be the entire section. Fenders, hood, bumper, lights, core support. Last I talked with him he said he was ready whenever I was and he had a mint set waiting for me but Like I said I need to save first. I hate this economy. I havent been broke like this for 10 years.

Im curious, if they use the same light bulbs from left to right and the headlights are the same. Is there a pattern internal to the housings that sends more light to one side over the other?

    Re: Custom Headlights

yeah, I think it's the reflective parts in the housing that are shaped differently, rhd housing being a mirror image of lhd ones. Around here if you import an rhd vehicle, you won't get it road legal without swapping the lights.

    Re: Custom Headlights

I wonder why no one makes a complete projector setup to replace sealed beams? I don't see any legality issues, you would aim it the same as a car with factory sealed beams, bolt it in and use the factory adjusters. I do like the hella sealed beam conversions, the lights look really vintage and suit the car well. they also make a 5 3/4 inch conversion that is H4 , it's advertised as off road only, and it's round, I think it could be fit into a plate in the factory light housings behind the factory trim. If it was moved to the outside of the trim, a small amber projector fog lamp could be added beside it. If I had the money I really wanted to do this conversion, and I have the materials and equipment to make it work.
